If you love to Lookouts and moving water, the Round Algonquin Loop is for you. Your ride has 12 possible stops where you can get out and stretch your legs and discover some great lookouts or see the moving water of the Haliburton Highlands.

It’s a loop ride, so you can start anywhere along the route, we invite you to start in Downtown Haliburton.


  • A – Start with a coffee at Upriver Trading or the Castle Antiques on Main Street
  • A – Go North on HWY 118 – 22 km
  • B – Turn right onto ON HWY 35 – 52.1 km
  • C – Turn right onto ON HWY 60 – 85.7 km
  • D – Turn right onto ON HWY 127 – 38.1 km
  • E – Turn right onto ON HWY 62 – 240 m
  • F – Turn right onto Peterson Rd which will turn into Elephant Lake Rd – 34 km
  • G – Turn right onto Loop Rd (County Rd #648) – 9.6 km
  • H – Turn right onto Essonville Line (County Rd #4) – 9 km
  • I – Turn right onto ON HWY 118 – 18.7 km
  • J – You are back on Main Street in the village of Haliburton
